Confessions of a Serial Entrepreneur
Welcome our super special guest, Quint Randall. (That's Doctor Randall to you...)
If you have see any of our other episodes, there was a name that got mentioned in pretty much every episode. Quint Randall. So we finally got him on as a guest.
Quint has done some pretty remarkable stuff. Played in a cool power pop band on the Sunset Strip in the early ‘80s. Founded Gig Magazine (AKA the Bible for working musicians) in the mid ‘80s. Got his Ph.D. in the ‘90s. Oh, and did a Gig-like publication for amateur hockey players called, natch, Hockey Player. Co-developed the first drag-and-drop drum loop program, Drums on Demand in the early Aughts. And then got signed to an actual record deal with his band Joshua Creek. And along the way, helped bunches of musicians—including both Tim and the Rev.—do something with their lives. Pretty cool cat.
One tech note: Quint was calling in the the recording session from a hotel wi-fi network which seems to have messed with the audio and video synch. If it was by a consistent amount, we could have fixed it but, alas, that was not the case. There is about 1/3 of the sessions right in the middle that is in synch and other parts, the audio is like a second behind the video. If it bugs ya, you can always do the audio only on any of the major podcasting platforms.

Next time, we are gonna talk about actual guitar stuff. Specifically, guitar mods we have all done. Some successful and some maybe not so much.
